Katherine Kratcha is a shareholder in Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren’s Employee Benefits Practice, where she helps clients make practical decisions while navigating complex regulations. She specializes in health and welfare plans, partnering with clients to answer compliance questions, review contracts, draft amendments and plan documents and devise strategies for best outcomes. She has broad experience with the federal laws that apply to these plans, including ERISA, the Affordable Care Act, the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act, COBRA, HIPAA and other laws that affect employee benefit plans (the Internal Revenue Code, Medicare, etc.) Katie works with employers, brokers, third-party administrators, pharmacy benefit managers, and Taft-Hartley multiemployer plans. Attorney and Partner, Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Husch Blackwell David Eckhardt focuses his practice on executive compensation, employee benefits, and taxation of compensation. He is ranked by Chambers USA, Best Lawyers, and was a recent recipient of the Milwaukee Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 Award. David has extensive experience in executive compensation issues, including compliance of deferred compensation agreements under Internal Revenue Code section 409A and the structuring and tax treatment of equity arrangements. He also implements equity compensation plans in partnerships and limited liability companies. David focuses on other employee benefit issues as well, including implementation and operation of qualified retirement plans (including ESOPs), compliance with the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), and employment taxes.
