Closing Health Equity Gaps
with a Multi-Dimensional Approach
to Musculoskeletal Care

Tuesday, September 20, 2022
Register
The Milwaukee chapter invites you to virtually attend "Closing Health Equity Gaps with a Multi-Dimensional Approach to Musculoskeletal Care" on September 20, 2022.

Exacerbated in part due to COVID-19, chronic musculoskeletal (MSK) pain is on the rise across the country. Diagnosis and treatment for these conditions does not always get to the root cause of patients’ chronic pain. For people with chronic back pain, often no clear physical cause of the pain can be identified. In addition, the pandemic exposed startling health inequities that have brought this issue to the forefront for employer benefit leaders.

Aims/Takeaways:
  • How virtual care solutions can help to narrow health equity gaps
  • The neuroscience behind chronic musculoskeletal pain
  • The impact of income, mental health, and race and ethnicity on MSK care
  • Why addressing the chronic pain epidemic requires holistic and personalized care
  • How employers have reduced costs and improved employee productivity with their digital MSK programs
