Principal NBS Advisors, LLC Sara joined NBS Advisors as Principal Benefits Consultant in 2020. NBS Advisors is committed to helping employers, brokers, providers and other partners understand the flaws with traditional plans and how to deliver high-value health plans that provide better benefits at a significantly lower cost. Sara has over 30 years of experience in the health plan management and the insurance industry. Her primary focus has been as an advisor to medium and large clients in both the private and public sectors. Sara is a member of the International Society of Certified Employee Benefit Specialists, the Greater Milwaukee Employee Benefits Council and the National Public Employers Labor Relations Association. She has been a featured speaker at the ISCEBS Employee Benefit Symposium, MRA, WASBO, SHRM and various other organizations on employee benefits topics and trends. Sara has also taught employee benefits classes at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, Marquette University and the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans. Sara received her undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Speech Education. She received her CEBS designation in 1989.

She is dedicated to helping corporate leaders understand the full scope, risk and costs of various employee benefits strategies and plan designs. Along with her team, Megan solves complex health challenges by utilizing innovative healthcare cost containment strategies to create better health care consumers and keep clients current on all regulatory issues. Megan was selected nationally as a Health Rosetta Certified Adviser due to her industry-leading standard of transparency and fiduciary responsibility to her clients and their employees. In 2020, Megan was awarded the Rising Star Award by Employee Benefit Advisor magazine. In 2021, Megan was selected nationally as a finalist for BenefitsPRO Broker of the Year. Megan speaks throughout the United States on health care innovation and educating health plan sponsors on fiduciary responsibilities. Megan has her B.S. in Dietetics with an emphasis on workplace wellness from Mount Mary University, WI. She has certificates in Fiduciary Leadership and Applied Fiduciary Practices, both from Wake Forrest University. She is also a Certified Self-Funding Specialist from the Health Care Administrators Association. Megan is a Faculty Member on the Wellness Council of America (WELCOA), is part of the Healthcare Advocacy Program at Concordia University and is a Health Rosetta Certified Advisor. |
